Last week, Rewindo, the window Recycling Service organisation from Bonn, presented its new Consultic study on „Evaluating Waste Quantity and Recycling Scenarios in Germany for PVC Windows and Related Products in 2013“. Rewindo is promoting recycling of windows and related products on behalf of the profile producers since more than ten years by advertisements, presentations and other activities. „In 2013, we were yet again able to increase the quantity of post-consumer window waste recycled in the Rewindo system“, declares Michael Vetter, the Managing Director of Rewindo. According to Vetter, the recently published Consultic study documents the entire recycling chain, from input through to output after treatment and right through to reuse in profiles and construction products. As in previous years, the figures in the study were tested by an independent third party, in this case the German Technical Inspection Association (TÜV). The Consultic studies on polymer recycling for Rewindo and PlasticsEurope are carried out frequently and are widely accepted since many years by environmental experts because of their quality and credibility.
