VinylPlus, the sustainable development programme of the European PVC industry, registered a record 444,468 tonnes of recycled PVC last year – keeping the industry on track to meet the challenge of recycling 800,000 tonnes per year by 2020. The 2013 results were presented at the 2014 Vinyl Sustainability Forum in Rome on 8 th of May.

VinylPlus is supported by the PVC industry in Europe like AGPU, which began to „reconcile“ the production and use of PVC „with all aspects of environmental protection“ and to „promote PVC recycling in particular“ in Germany in accordance with its constitution over 25 years ago. One of these AGPU activities to promote recycling is the PVC Recycling Finder. It is an online marketplace that is not only extremely popular within the industry, recording over 1000 visits every month, but is also recommended by consumer publications such as the green „ÖKO-TEST“ magazine.
